The One Who Started It All

Pauls Scoobydo Bee

July 18, 1978 - July 1, 1999

Gone, but not forgotten, DoBee’s legacy lives on in his sons, daughters, and many descendents.

After two decades of showing, drill team, breeding, and plain old trail riding, we lost the founding sire of Irish Acres to complications from Cushings disease in the summer of 1999.

DoBee was registered with the American Quarter Horse Association, American Buckskin Registry Association, International Buckskin Horse Association, Foundation Quarter Horse Registry, National Foundation Quarter Horse Association, and American Quarter Pony Association.

With the ABRA, DoBee earned multiple ROMs, in Dun Factor, Western Pleasure, Poles, Barrels, Key Race, Figure 8 Stake, and Reining. In the IBHA, DoBee held ROMs in Discipline Rail, Dun Factor, Western Pleasure, Poles, and Barrels. He also held an AQPA Certificate of Supreme Excellence, for points earned in Western Pleasure, Pole Bending, Barrels, and Halter.

DoBee excelled as a drill horse too, working on a team for 14 years with owner Deb. His outstanding disposition also made him an ideal visitor to Camp Horizon, the Lions Club camp for the handicapped.

DoBee distinguished himself as a sire of IBHA and ABRA champions and ROM earners, passing down his substance, quality, and work ethic.
